Do you suffer from migraines?
Last week I heard from more than one of the ladies in my Online Bottcamps and that they told me they weren’t able exercise, sleep or barely function on certain days due to having migraines.
I have to be honest and say that I haven’t ever experienced a migraine before but having had Vertigo for a few months I can relate to some of the symptoms and want to let you know that either way I feel your pain and want to offer some help and advice.
Have you ever really looked into what a migraine is and how it can be triggered?
Migraine is the most common neurological condition; it affects people of all ages, social classes, races and cultures. However, two thirds of sufferers are women, and all migraineurs are more likely to experience migraine between the ages of 20 – 50 years. A migraine attack can last from 4 to 72 hours, with most migraineurs keeping well between attacks.
Migraine is more than just a headache. Other symptoms can include: visual disturbances (flashing lights, blind spots in the vision, zig zag patterns etc.), nausea and vomiting, sensitivity to light (photophobia), sensitivity to noise (phonophobia), sensitivity to smells (osmophobia) and tingling/ pins and needles/ weakness/ numbness in the limbs. Some of these are similar to Vertigo.
Migraine is triggered by a huge variety of factors not just cheese, chocolate and red wine! For most people there is not just one trigger but a combination of factors which individually can be tolerated but when they all occur together a threshold is passed and a migraine is triggered.
Watch this video about some strategies I have recently suggested to my online bootcamp mummies which brought some relief in relation to severe and prolonged headaches and in some instances for full blown migraines and may help you too….
I would love to hear from you on this. Be sure to comment in the blog or get in touch with any other issue or concern that is stopping you from exercising, eating healthy or really from having the body and lifestyle you love.
P.S Over the next weeks I will be posting answers to some questions I get frequently or concerns. Hope it helps.
P.P.S I have two remaining spaces on the Online Body Transformation Bootcamp starting tomorrow… be sure to get on board if you need some help and support.
