Instant & Easy Miso Soup

  • 1 packet Miso Soup Mix
  • 100 ml Boiling Water

You can enjoy 2 to 3 small bowls as a serving - be mindful of salt intake on this day.
This version of instant miso soup which is known as “Miso-Maru (miso round)” in Japan or “Miso bomb” in other countries. It is perfect for those who are health conscious and busy. By just pouring hot water to a miso ball in a mug or a bowl, you can have Umami packed hearty miso soup instantly!
Miso is an essential condiment in Japanese cooking. Basically it is soybeans fermented with Koji – just in case you have never heard of it. Miso contains all eight essential amino acids to sustain life and is also rich in vitamins and minerals. Furthermore, the Probiotics in Miso are beneficial for your gut health.
You can purchase a ready made Miso Soup Mix and just add water. However it is essential you choose a high quality one.  Make sure there is no MSG or artificial flavours. 

Instant Miso soup for fasting

Miso soup is a great soup to drink while you fast and some people purchase instant miso soup sachets. Miso soup is low in calories and has health benefits as mentioned above.

Miso consumption is generally safe for most people. However, it does contain a large amount of salt and also kelp so if you have a seawater allergy it may trigger it. Thus, it may not be a good choice for individuals who need to limit their salt intake due to a medical condition. In addition, miso is relatively high in vitamin K1, which can act as a blood thinner.
