Flaxseed Smoothie

Ingredients
  

  • 1 cup (235 ml/8 fl. oz.) unsweetened almond milk (option: unsweetened vanilla almond milk)
  • 1 cup (150g/5.3 oz.) fresh or frozen berries
  • 1 handful fresh spinach
  • 30g (1.1 oz.) protein powder, vanilla
  • 1 tbsp. flaxseed (linseed) meal
  • Ice, as needed

Instructions
 

  • Place all ingredients except for the ice in a blender and mix until smooth.
  • Add ice and blend again until smooth.
  • Serve in a tall glass.

Notes

Flaxseeds are very nutritious as they contain healthy omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, a significant amount of protein and a number of vitamins and minerals.
